Austin, Texas By Sarah Lovelace

The Live Music Capital of the World with a self proclaimed motto of “Keep Austin Weird,” I think we will fit into this city like spurs on a cowboy boot. The two Fortune 500 companies located here are Dell and Whole Foods Market, so that should give us some idea of what and who we’re likely to find here.
This city ranks number two on the list of “best places to live” and number two for cities with the best people (for their personalities). Austin was also voted “Greenest City in America” by MSN. Sounds like a place I’d like to spend a day!

According to the Nielsen Company adults in Austin read and contribute to blogs more than in any other U.S. city, so let’s see it, Austin - hit up our comments section and tell us the coolest places to go in town!
This city is proud to call itself laid back, and I’m sure that relaxation will float like clouds in the air at some of the beautiful looking parks and lakes Austin has to offer - one named for a former first lady, Lady Bird Lake; one named for the city, Lake Austin; and parks such as Mount Bonnell, and Wild Basin Wilderness sound like the perfect place to kick off our shoes and kick back. And let's not forget the majestic Colorado River, shown here.
Here are some of the things we may want to take a look at while we’re around.
